Holiday Basket

I have started creating baskets for sale. All items in the baskets are hand made by me. They range from chocolates, to mug cake mixes, to steak rubs and more. I will add fresh bread for an extra charge. Since I would have to ship some of them they would be quick breads like pumpkin bread and such. Pick up orders are able to have more of a variety of fresh bread options. I am including the jellies in the baskets as well..

I am starting the price at $25.

Combination Disney Cake

This client had asked me to create a cake that had Ariel, Doc Mc Stuffins, and Mickey Mouse.

The cake was a three layer combination of yellow cake and chocolate cake. She wanted enough room so that she could put little figures on each level that she had bought.

This is the end result

Winter Chocolate Suckers

I have been working hard this year to make more items to put out. I am hoping to make baskets this season and have them assembled in time for christmas.

But I have been able to create these cute little suckers that are great for stocking stuffing or any kind of gift.

Rubs and Spices

I actually don't think many of you read this so I m going to post it anyway.

I am working on making rubs and spices for the holiday. I am thinking I might do a little gift basket that I can send out.
I am still working on an actual business website that these can be ordered through, instead of going though Etsy or any other group like that .

At the moment, I have a Memphis Style Rib Rub, Chai Tea, Cocoa Steak Rub and Pancake Mix. Still working and experimenting on others. Feed back is always welcomed.

Chai Tea

So working like a mad person to make creations for my Halloween show that is this upcoming Saturday in South Jordan. I stumble on a way to make Chai Tea. I love that drink so I have decided to make a large batch of it and add it to my Etsy Store. I am going to sell it with and with out mugs.

For our first farmers market we had some extra ingredients and thanks to a suggestion by a family member, we created Dragon Fire and Dragon Kisses Jelly and Preserves. Sweet with heat. The Lehi Farmers Market was a huge successes for us.  I am glad that the community came out to support us and try our product. We will be back again there this Saturday.  We have future plans to expand on out jelly line.  Right now we have ideas that we are playing around with in the kitchen lab.

Halloween Cookies

I love Halloween. That being said I did these cookies last year for my husbands office. I sold them at $ 1 a cookie. Most of the time being spent putting detail into the cookies with the chocolate that coats them.

Vegan Cake

This cake was done for a military personnel leaving their job post to return home. She is a Vegan. The challenge came for me to make an all Vegan cake. Well it worked. I make a vanilla and lemon cake with lemon butter cream frosting. Because of it being military which is near and dear to me, I only charged them $50. I went to the store and sought out all the vegan products to create this cake. I admit the decorating is a little rough. The frosting is hard to work with, and even for times the recipe times 4 it didn't make a whole lot of frosting.

Fresh Fruit Tarts

These are one of my favorites to make. I love making the pretty designs with fresh fruit. I have two to show off below for customers. One is with a traditional vanilla pastry cream and the second is with a white chocolate mousse. I ran out of boxes for delivery so I used a pizza box to hold my second one. Both tarts are glazed with a peach glaze to give them that pretty shiny look.

Jalapeno Corn Muffin Recipe

This is for my friend Tara who has been asking if I had a good recipe for corn muffins.

Jalapeno Corn muffins

Yellow corn meal             12 oz
All Purpose Flour             12 oz
Sugar                               3 oz
Baking Powder                1 tbsp
Baking Soda                    1 tsp
Salt                                  1 tsp
Buttermilk                         24 fl oz
Eggs                                 6 eggs
Olive Oil                          8 fl oz
Corn Kernels                    6 oz
Cheddar cheese, grated    6 oz
Diced Jalapeno                4 oz

Directions
Stir together the cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Stir together the buttermilk, eggs and oil.
Combine the dry and liquid ingredients. Mix only until just incorporated.
Gently fold in the corn, cheddar cheese and jalapenos*peppers.
Portion the batter into greased muffin cups filling 3/4 full.
Bake at 375 until the centers of the muffins have a bounce back when lightly pressed. About 20-25 minutes.

*(With the Jalapeno peppers, roast them first and take the skin off. They have a better flavor if they are roasted then mixed in. Let them cool before you put them in the batter. You don't want to put hot peppers into the batter.

Cream Puffs

These are an old family recipe that I have learned how to make over the years. These sweet one bite creations come in a variety of flavors. I usually package them in  two dozen boxes.  Right now come in flavors of chocolate, cheesecake, and vanilla.

Crackers and Caramels

This  was a little treat I learned how to make at one of my passing jobs. I thought it was so cute that I have been working to improve it.  Its sweet and salty all in one bite.  I usually sell these by the dozen.

Savory Food

Savory food is something that I do on occasion and only for the maximum of  30 people. It depends on the dishes I am doing as far as the price goes. If you are interested please inquire. But be wear that there is a chance I will turn you down. My business is primary a cake and treat business.

I do act as a private chef from time to time for very small parties. Again that is on a case by case basis. I will be happy to answer all questions that you have. Below are some of my dishes.

European Tarts

Along the way I have done a few European Tarts. They are small but I still charge at least $25 for them because of the the amount of time that goes into creating them.

I have a chocolate raspberry gelee tart and a lemon blueberry tart  below.

Breads

In school I found a love for making bread. I can do many different kinds of bread. Any questions just ask away.  I find that each bread has a unique history behind how it came about and why it was made.
Below are pictures of some of the breads I do.
 Hawaiian Bread
 Olive Sourdough
 Whole wheat bread
Pan de Cioccolate ( chocolate bread)
 Sticky Buns
 Stollen
 Panettone
Whole wheat croissants

Fruit Tarts

I love doing fresh tarts. They are simple  and you can use so many different kinds of fruit and stay seasonal.

I charge $30 for the large tarts and $5 for the personal size tarts. I fill them with pastry cream. The most common flavors for the pastry cream are vanilla, and chocolate.

Carrot cake

A cute creation for an Easter dinner. This cake is a carrot cake and covered entirely with mango and orange jelly beans.

Cookies and Specalty cookies

I have done many different types of cookies. I even create custom creations for customers. Some of my most popular cookies are my Pumpkin Oatmeal Chocolate Chip, Chocolate Chip, Crackles.

Below are pictures of some of the cookies.

Bear Cake

This was a dark chocolate cake with a caramel/ chocolate butter cream. It is a 3 D cake that sits up and is supported.

Fresh Flower Cake

This Cake was a vanilla cake with a Swiss Butter cream. Some of the decorations are fondant and the topper is fresh flowers along with the flowers at the very bottom.

Hamberger Cake

This cake was done for a Memorial Day BBQ. It was requesting that I make something that goes with grilling outside so this is what I came up with.
